A defense lawyer compared a pro-Palestinian activist on trial to the historic suffragette movement.
Charlotte Head, 29, is accused of involvement in a break-in at a UK factory owned by Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense company. The incident occurred in August 2024.
Her barrister told a London court she is a "remarkable woman." He made the comparison to the suffragettes, who used direct action in the early 20th century to win voting rights for women.
Head is on trial at Woolwich Crown Court. Prosecutors say the protest at the site near Bristol was "meticulously organised."
