Disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein is considering a guilty plea. This would resolve a pending rape charge against him in New York.
The move would allow him to avoid a third trial in the state. His previous convictions there became symbolic of the #MeToo movement.
Weinstein appeared in a Manhattan court on Thursday. He arrived in a wheelchair and looked much paler than during his last appearance in June.
The hearing was to argue that his latest conviction should be overturned. His lawyers claim there was improper influence on the jury.
