The United States has called for restraint after a series of deadly attacks in northern Syria.
The statement follows escalating violence in Syria's Aleppo province. Local reports indicate Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions were targeted by drone strikes. These attacks resulted in multiple casualties.
A U.S. State Department spokesperson addressed the situation. “All parties should focus on how to build a peaceful, stable Syria,” the spokesperson said. The goal should be a country “that protects and serves the interests of all Syrians.”
The SDF is a U.S.-allied military group. It controls large areas of northeastern Syria.
The recent attacks threaten a fragile stability in the region. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the strikes. The U.S. statement emphasizes diplomacy over military escalation.
