A landmark government building in Tokyo has been transformed into a giant, nightly light show.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku is now the canvas for "Tokyo Night & Light." Each evening, crowds gather to watch large-scale moving images projected onto its twin towers.
The display is notable for its scale and its power source. Organizers use 40 high-lumen projectors that are entirely solar-powered. The projectors capture energy during the day to run the spectacle at night.
The free public show adds a new attraction to one of Tokyo's busiest districts, turning an administrative center into a popular evening destination.
