The Nigerian government has paid all outstanding match bonuses to its national football team, the Super Eagles.
The payment was confirmed during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. Officials said administrative and foreign exchange procedures caused the delay.
Match bonuses are extra payments players receive for each game. The issue of unpaid bonuses has been a repeated problem for Nigerian football.
The Super Eagles remain in the tournament. The team's performance has not been affected by the earlier payment delay.
