The BBC will stay on the social media platform X to combat a "flood" of online falsehoods, its director general says.
Tim Davie said the broadcaster must remain on the Elon Musk-owned site to reach younger audiences. He argued that leaving would cede the space to global misinformation.
Davie confirmed he has faced pressure to withdraw the BBC from X. Critics say the platform has shifted significantly to the political right since Musk purchased it.
