Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says he supports a proposed one-time tax on California's billionaires. Huang is the eighth-richest person in the world.
In a Tuesday interview, Huang stated he is "perfectly fine" with the grassroots tax plan. "We chose to live in Silicon Valley, and whatever taxes..." he told Bloomberg.
The proposal is a citizen-led initiative. It aims to create a one-time "wealth tax" on the state's richest residents to help address budget deficits.
Huang co-founded Nvidia, a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) computing chips. The company's success has made him one of the world's most prominent billionaires.
