Immigration Agent Shoots Woman in Car During Minnesota Stop

A U.S. immigration agent shot and killed a woman inside a car during an incident in a Minnesota neighborhood. The event was captured on video. The shooting happened on a residential street in the city of Brooklyn Center. Agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, were conducting an operation. According to ICE, its officers approached a vehicle. They say a person in the car then displayed a gun. This led an agent to fire their weapon, hitting a woman in the vehicle. The woman died at the scene. No ICE officers were injured. The agency stated the shooting is under investigation by local police. The video of the event is now part of the police investigation. Authorities have not released the identity of the woman who was killed.
