Two major regions in southeastern Ukraine are almost completely without power.
The country's Energy Ministry reported the widespread outages on Sunday. They followed a series of overnight drone strikes.
The attacks targeted energy infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Repair crews are now working to restore electricity.
This incident is part of a longer pattern. Russia has repeatedly targeted Ukraine's power grid since the start of its full-scale invasion. These attacks are known as a strategy to damage civilian infrastructure during winter.
