A major winter storm has paralyzed parts of Europe, causing severe travel chaos. At Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, over 1,000 passengers were forced to sleep in terminals after hundreds of flights were canceled.
Heavy snow and ice have shut down runways and made flying dangerous. The severe weather is also creating hazardous conditions on major roads across the region.
The storm's impact is widespread, disrupting both air and highway travel. Authorities have not said when normal operations might resume.
