President Donald Trump remains interested in the United States purchasing Greenland. His administration confirms that no possibility has been ruled out.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated the President's position. She said that while "all options" remain available, diplomacy is the preferred "first option."
The large, autonomous Arctic island is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. The idea of a U.S. purchase was publicly discussed by Trump in 2019. It was swiftly rejected by Danish leaders at that time.
