U.S. Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance has called for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to resign. He made the demand in response to a major investigation into welfare fraud in the state.
On Fox News' "Jesse Watters Primetime," Vance claimed the fraud case is part of a nationwide ring. He alleged the ring involves illegal immigrants.
Vance vowed a future Trump-Vance administration would prosecute such fraud. The Minnesota fraud investigation, which began in 2022, has already led to several indictments. State officials say it involves tens of millions of dollars in stolen public assistance funds.
Governor Walz's office has not yet publicly responded to Vance's resignation demand.
