Yemen Separatists Claim Saudi Arabia Detained Key Delegation

A major Yemeni separatist group says Saudi Arabia has detained more than 50 of its senior members. The Southern Transitional Council (STC) stated on Wednesday it lost contact with the delegation after they flew to Riyadh for planned talks. The group accuses Saudi authorities of arresting the members arbitrarily. Witnesses reported last seeing the delegates board a black bus at Riyadh airport. The STC is a key faction in Yemen's complex civil war and a nominal ally of Saudi Arabia. There has been no immediate comment from Saudi officials on the allegation.
