Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones gave a rare aerial interview this week, revealing how he views his legacy.
Speaking with CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil from a helicopter above Dallas, Jones looked down at the team's headquarters, The Star in Frisco. He stated the massive complex is what he wants to be remembered for.
"When I die, I want to come here," Jones said. He directly called the billion-dollar facility his "tombstone."
The Star is more than just practice fields and offices. It is a major entertainment and shopping district. Jones developed it to be a year-round destination.
The 81-year-old owner bought the Cowboys in 1989. He suggested this project, not just the team's three Super Bowl wins in the 1990s, will be his lasting mark.
The interview will air in full on CBS Evening News.
