Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has demanded federal immigration agents leave the city. He acted after an agent from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shot and killed a woman on Wednesday.
The shooting happened during an ICE operation. Agents shot the woman while she was inside a vehicle. The Department of Homeland Security, which oversees ICE, confirmed the incident.
Mayor Frey stated he is "demanding ICE to leave the city immediately." He did not provide further details about the shooting or the ICE operation.
