Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has set a clear challenge for his strikers: score more than 20 league goals in a season. He believes new signing Viktor Gyökeres can meet that target.
No Arsenal player has scored over 20 goals in the Premier League since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 2019-20 season. Gyökeres, a Swedish forward, is currently the club's joint-top league scorer this season with five goals.
However, he has not scored from open play since November. Arteta's public backing comes as league leaders Arsenal prepare for a crucial match against Liverpool.
