Trump Eyes Greenland: "All Options" Open
President Donald Trump continues to explore the possibility of the United States acquiring Greenland. The White House confirmed the idea is under serious consideration. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that while diplomacy is the preferred "first option," no methods are being ruled out. "All options are on the table," she said. The large, autonomous Danish territory is rich in natural resources and holds strategic importance. President Trump has publicly discussed his interest in buying the island for years. The U.S. government has previously attempted to purchase Greenland. A deal was proposed in 1946 and again in 1967. Denmark has consistently rejected the idea of selling the territory.
