A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent shot and killed a woman inside a vehicle during an enforcement operation in Minneapolis on Wednesday. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees ICE, confirmed the fatal shooting.
The incident occurred near the intersection of East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. Local police have sealed off the area for investigation.
In a statement, the City of Minneapolis said it is "aware of a shooting involving federal law enforcement." Officials urged the public to avoid the neighborhood.
