Brigitte Bardot was laid to rest in Saint-Tropez on Wednesday. The French film legend and animal rights activist died at her home on December 28. She was 91.
Her funeral was held at the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church. The ceremony was shown on large screens across the famous coastal town.
The service was attended by singers, animal rights activists, and other public figures. Among them was Marine Le Pen, the far-right political leader. Le Pen was known to be Bardot's favorite politician.
