Turkish Opposition to Syria's Assad: "Uphold Your Guarantor Role"

Turkey's pro-Kurdish DEM Party has issued a sharp warning to international powers. It calls on them to enforce their role as "guarantors" in northern Syria. The demand follows reported attacks by the Syrian government in Aleppo. The DEM Party's executive committee stated these actions violate two key agreements from March 10 and April 1. The party warned the assaults effectively nullify these deals. It said the violence also endangers the lives of over 200,000 civilians in the region. The statement directly challenged Russia, Iran, and the Syrian government itself. All are considered guarantors of the ceasefire and political process in the area. The party urged them to "fulfill their responsibilities" immediately.
