Paris Skis to Work as Rare Heavy Snow Blankets City

A rare and heavy snowfall transformed Paris on Wednesday. The city and much of Europe woke up to a thick blanket of snow after a night of sub-zero temperatures. The snow glistened on famous monuments and streets. Some residents even used skis to travel across the city. The severe weather caused major travel disruptions. Flights were grounded and road traffic was heavily impacted across the region.
