Ukrainian negotiators will meet with representatives of former U.S. President Donald Trump in Paris this week. The talks will focus on what President Volodymyr Zelenskyy calls the most difficult issues to end the war.
President Zelenskyy announced the plan. He said the Ukrainian delegation will hold three negotiation sessions within 48 hours.
The agenda includes two critical topics. The first is the safety of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is occupied by Russian forces. The second is the status of occupied Ukrainian territories.
These discussions are part of ongoing efforts to establish a framework for a potential peace deal. The meeting highlights continued U.S. engagement in diplomatic efforts, even amid the American election cycle.
