Syria has suspended all flights at Aleppo International Airport for 24 hours. The country's aviation authority announced the move on Tuesday.
Authorities said flights will be diverted to the capital's Damascus International Airport instead. They blamed the suspension on an attack by what they called the "SDF terrorist group."
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is a U.S.-backed Kurdish-led militia. It controls large parts of northeastern Syria but is designated a terrorist group by the Syrian government.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. The airport has been a repeated target during Syria's long-running civil war.
The suspension disrupts a key travel link for northern Syria. Aleppo is Syria's largest city and a major commercial center.
