For the first time, U.S. envoys have attended high-level talks on supporting Ukraine. The meeting is part of a confidential group known as a "coalition of the willing."
President Donald Trump's special representative, Steve Witkoff, and senior advisor Jared Kushner traveled to Paris for the summit. The group was launched last year by France and Britain.
French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the American officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was also present. The three held a private meeting before the larger summit began.
The participation of U.S. officials marks a significant shift. Analysts say it shows increased American engagement in European-led efforts to address the conflict.
