Syrian security forces have arrested an armed "outlaw group" in the western countryside of Hama. The operation was announced by the country's Interior Ministry on Saturday, January 6.
In a statement on Telegram, the ministry said the raid was "well-coordinated." It took place in the Wadi al-Uyun area near the town of Masyaf.
The ministry described those detained only as an armed outlaw group. No further details about the group's identity or alleged activities were immediately provided.
The operation was carried out by the Internal Security Command in Hama Governorate.
