Trump's Policies Threaten Civilization, Warns Former Official

A former US government official has issued a stark warning. He says Donald Trump's actions threaten the foundations of civilized society. Robert Reich, a former US secretary of labor, argues that civilization's core purpose is to protect the weak from the strong. He says the United States was built on this idea. Reich claims Trump's policies attack this principle. He lists several examples. These include the attempted coup in the US five years ago and a recent military incursion into Venezuela. He also cites current threats against Cuba, Colombia, and Greenland. According to Reich, these actions undermine both US and international law. But he says the danger is greater.
