Guinea's Supreme Court has officially declared Mamadi Doumbouya the winner of the country's presidential election.
The court confirmed Doumbouya received 86.72% of the vote. This formalizes earlier provisional results.
Doumbouya, an army colonel, first took power in a military coup in September 2021. The election was intended to return Guinea to civilian rule.
The vote was held earlier this month. International observers noted high participation but also reported several problems.
The court's announcement is the final legal step. It allows for Doumbouya's inauguration and a full five-year term.
