Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced he is preparing a major government reboot should Russia undermine future peace negotiations.
In a statement, Zelensky said that if Russia "torpedoes" peace talks, Ukraine will need a refreshed leadership team. This new government would be tasked with mobilizing fresh forces for what he termed a "technological fight" in the ongoing conflict.
Separately, the president addressed international security guarantees for Ukraine. He stated that having British and French troops deployed inside the country is "mandatory" for any future security agreement.
The comments signal potential political changes in Kyiv tied to the stalled diplomatic process with Moscow. They also underscore Ukraine's firm stance on the terms required for its long-term defense.
