Wild Twister Ride Fails Again, Stranding 15 at Hong Kong Park

A popular roller coaster at Hong Kong's Ocean Park malfunctioned on Saturday, leaving 15 passengers trapped in mid-air for 19 minutes. This is the second such failure for the "Wild Twister" ride in six months. The incident occurred at 2:57 p.m. when a signal failure automatically triggered the ride's safety system, bringing it to an immediate stop. All 15 affected passengers were safely evacuated by 3:16 p.m. No injuries were reported. A park spokesman stated that staff promptly reset the system. An investigation into the cause of the signal failure is underway. The "Wild Twister" is a high-speed roller coaster that spins riders through a series of loops and twists. A similar breakdown in August of last year also stranded passengers.
