President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced an ambitious national export target of $396 billion for 2025. He stated this goal is part of Turkey's plan to become one of the world's ten largest economies.
Erdogan linked the record export goal to Turkey's growing industrial strength. He said the country is now Europe's fourth-largest production hub. It also ranks as the world's twelfth largest.
A key sector is automotive manufacturing. Turkey now produces 1.5 million vehicles per year. This industrial capacity is central to the government's economic strategy.
The $396 billion export target would be a historic high for the country. It signals a focused push for greater global market share. Achieving this goal would mark a significant step in Turkey's economic ambitions.
