Aston Villa Boss: We Won't Sign Harvey Elliott

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has confirmed the club will not make Harvey Elliott's loan move permanent. The decision was announced before Villa's Premier League match against Nottingham Forest. Emery said Elliott is a "very good professional." However, a clause in the loan deal means Villa would have to buy the Liverpool midfielder if he played a certain number of matches. "We decided two months ago we are not convinced to sign him, spending the money we need," Emery explained. The news clarifies Elliott's future. He will return to his parent club, Liverpool, when his loan spell ends.
