A missile attack on the city of Kharkiv killed two people, including a child, according to Ukrainian authorities. The strike occurred on Tuesday, local officials reported.
Russian officials, however, deny carrying out a missile strike. They claim the explosion was caused by Ukrainian ammunition, suggesting an accident.
Rescue operations are ongoing at the site of the attack. The number of injured is currently being confirmed.
The city of Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest, has been a frequent target since the full-scale invasion began. It lies close to the Russian border.
