The BBC has settled a complaint with a family who survived the 7 October attacks in Israel. The family said a BBC news crew filmed inside their destroyed home without permission.
The incident involved a reporting team that included senior correspondent Jeremy Bowen. They entered the Horenstein family's home in southern Israel in the days after the 2023 Hamas attacks.
The family stated the crew did not seek consent to film inside the private property. The home had been wrecked during the assault.
The broadcaster confirmed a settlement has been reached but did not disclose the terms. The agreement resolves the complaint over the filming.
