Venezuela's president says he is ready to negotiate a drug trafficking agreement with the United States. However, Nicolás Maduro refused to discuss a reported CIA-led strike inside Venezuela.
In a recorded interview, Maduro repeated his long-held position. He believes the US wants to remove his government and control Venezuela's large oil reserves.
This US pressure campaign started months ago, he said. It began with a major US military move into the Caribbean Sea in August.
