Germany Delivers Second Patriot System to Ukraine

Ukraine has received another advanced air defense system from Germany. This is the second U.S.-made Patriot battery Berlin has sent. The delivery follows a major €1.2 billion defense aid agreement signed on December 17. This new system strengthens Ukraine's shield against Russian missile attacks, particularly against hypersonic weapons. Patriot systems are considered among the world's best for intercepting ballistic and cruise missiles. Ukraine has successfully used them to counter Russia's Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. This second German Patriot battery adds to several already provided by other allied nations. The deployment is part of ongoing Western efforts to bolster Ukraine's air defenses as the war continues.
