Avalanche Tragedy in Turkey: At Least Two Dead as Warnings Issued

Avalanches in eastern Turkey have killed at least two people. The incidents occurred in the provinces of Van and Artvin. Turkey's General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a serious warning. It says further avalanches are possible in three regions: the Eastern Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, and the Western Black Sea. Authorities are urging residents and travelers in these areas to be extremely cautious. The warning follows heavy snowfall and severe winter conditions across much of the country.
