A fire at a popular bar in a Swiss Alps ski resort has killed 40 people and injured about 100 others. The blaze happened during New Year's celebrations.
The fire broke out early Thursday at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana. The luxury resort is a top European ski destination. The bar was very crowded at the time.
Police investigators say there is no early sign of terrorism or arson. They are still working to find the cause of the fire.
Most of the injured people suffered serious wounds. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene in the resort, which is located northwest of Zermatt.
