Ukraine will begin importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States through Greece. This new supply route will help secure vital energy supplies for Ukraine.
The decision comes as Russia continues its sustained attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. These attacks have damaged power plants and other critical facilities.
The gas will be shipped to a terminal in Greece. From there, it will be transported through European pipelines to Ukraine. This agreement provides Ukraine with a stable and alternative energy source.
