NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin provided a health update on his mother, Mary Lou, on Wednesday. She was seriously injured in a house fire at the family's Florida residence.
The fire also claimed the life of Hamlin's father, Dennis.
Hamlin shared the news on social media but did not disclose specific details about his mother's condition. The 43-year-old driver has since postponed all public appearances.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
