Syria has mobilized more than 100 emergency teams to respond to a severe weather system now hitting the nation.
The Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed al-Saleh, confirmed the response in a social media post. He stated that ministry and Civil Defense teams are actively dealing with the storm.
The areas expected to see the heaviest impacts are Aleppo, Idlib, Tartus, Lattakia, and Hama. The emergency teams are coordinating efforts to manage flooding, damage, and other risks from the intense weather.
