Tesla has taken an unusual step by publishing analyst forecasts that predict a decline in vehicle sales for 2025.
The electric car maker added a new "consensus" section to its investor website. It shows analysts expect Tesla to announce 423,000 vehicle deliveries for the final quarter of 2025. This would be a 16% drop compared to the last quarter of 2024.
The published forecasts also suggest future years' sales will fall short of ambitious targets previously set by Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk.
This move comes after a difficult year for the company. Some industry observers have linked sales challenges to a backlash from consumers over Musk's public embrace of right-wing politics.
