British heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua remains hospitalized in Nigeria after a serious car crash that resulted in a fatality.
Local investigators have identified two primary causes for the accident. According to their initial report, the vehicle was traveling at high speed when it suffered a sudden tire blowout. This combination caused the driver to lose control.
The driver now faces legal prosecution. A passenger in the car died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Joshua, who was a passenger in a separate vehicle in the same convoy, was not in the car that crashed. His hospitalization is a precaution for injuries described as minor.
