A collision between two locomotives inside a major hydroelectric project in India has sent dozens of workers to the hospital.
The incident occurred at the construction site of the Tapovan Vishnugad dam in the northern state of Uttarakhand. Officials report that approximately 88 workers were injured in the crash.
All injured personnel were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Following medical care, each worker was discharged and sent home, according to official statements.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation. The dam project is a key infrastructure initiative for the region, aimed at generating electricity from Himalayan river waters.
