Drone Barrage Hits Ukraine on New Year’s Eve, Injures Children

A major Russian drone attack struck Ukraine on New Year's Eve, injuring at least three children. The assault occurred in the southern port city of Odesa. A baby was among the wounded when debris from an intercepted drone hit a residential building. Ukrainian officials reported damage across 11 different locations in the country. Air defense forces successfully shot down over 100 of the attacking unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), or drones. However, the scale of the barrage meant some explosives reached their targets.
