DAMASCUS, Dec. 30 (SANA) – Syria's Interior Ministry stated Tuesday that individual mistakes cannot justify wider violations. It strongly rejected acts of vandalism and what it called "mob-like actions" against public or private property.
Ministry spokesperson Nour al-Din al-Baba warned against copying destructive behavior. He said such acts are unacceptable and will be addressed by law.
The statement follows reported unrest in the coastal province of Latakia. It emphasized that the actions of certain individuals should not be used to excuse other abuses.
