Japan Commits €47.7 Million to Clear Ukrainian Landmines and Restore Power

Japan has approved a new €47.7 million aid package for Ukraine. The funds will support critical recovery efforts inside the country. The money, approved by Japan’s parliament, will finance three urgent areas. These are demining (clearing landmines and unexploded bombs), repairing energy infrastructure, and restoring water supply systems. This marks the fifth phase of emergency assistance from Tokyo since the war began. The support aims to address immediate humanitarian needs and help rebuild essential services for Ukrainian civilians.
