A coalition of 16 climate-focused civil society groups has released a damning assessment of Turkey's environmental policies. The network, known as the Climate Network, published its "2025 Climate Report Card" for the country.
The report evaluates Turkey's performance across 12 key areas. It finds significant shortcomings in the nation's efforts to address climate change.
The analysis comes ahead of the COP31 global climate summit. It suggests that Turkey must make major improvements to meet international goals. The NGOs now look to the upcoming conference for renewed commitment and action from Turkish leaders.
