Two chemical tankers made contact off the coast of Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, on Thursday. One of the ships, named *Alatepe*, was carrying 2,500 tons of chemical cargo.
The other vessel involved was safely towed to port. Authorities report no injuries among the crews.
Officials claim the incident did not cause any environmental pollution. An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
