A passenger train derailed in southern Mexico on Tuesday, killing at least 13 people and injuring nearly 100 others. The crash occurred as the train rounded a bend near the town of Nizanda, Oaxaca state.
Emergency services rushed to the scene. They transported the injured to local hospitals. Officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the derailment.
An investigation into the crash is now underway. The train was operating on a key tourist route in the region.
