A man was shot and killed by armed police in Thetford, England, on Sunday night.
The incident began as a report of a two-vehicle collision on London Road just after 8:25 p.m. According to Norfolk Police, one man left the crash scene holding what was described as a handgun.
Armed officers responded. The man, believed to be a driver from the crash, was shot by police. He died at the scene.
The police force has referred the shooting to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which is standard procedure. An investigation is now underway.
